After recalling my school bag / hospital ideal in my post on back-to-school shopping, a lot of you wanted more recommendations for bags that were a little 'smaller (or larger) and could fit various budgets. So today I mounted a quick guide to some of my favorite bags organized, that size I think is best for what, and an easy solution for organizing any bag!
Bags: small bags crossbody style are perfect for the days you are only carrying what you need for a particular event. Maybe you are only in hospital for the morning and only need a small notebook, stethoscope, mobile phone and other essentials. These bags dimensions are perfect for when you need to bring with you the whole day. From left to right (least expensive to most expensive) is this bag from Target, this Dooney and Bourke classic, and this beautiful bag from Tumi.
Large bags: I think my idea of the way is probably a bit 'larger than some people, but these bags are perfect medium for carrying around most of what you need for a day's work or school - your laptop, planner, dining, and other essentials. Their size is not overwhelming, but can pack almost everything you need. This is usually my go-to bag everyday. From left to right (least expensive to most expensive) is this bag from Fisher Price (yes, now we're getting in diaper bags, but believe me they are fabulous for the organization!), This bag Skip Hop, and this bag of Marc by Marc Jacobs.
Large bags: Now we're getting into really large bags - typically designed for weekend trips and short trips. But if you're the kind of girl who must carry around everything for the most different events during the day, this will be your bag of choice. These bags fit not only your laptop and lunch and anything else you need for the day, but you can also throw in change of clothes and sneakers for the gym where you're heading straight after work. Either you're sneaking away to get a few hours of work but later will be on mother-duty errands with your child for the rest of the day and the need to both mom and baby need. Whatever it is that is preparing the day, these bags of dimensions allow to carry everything you need with you. From left to right (least expensive to most expensive) is this bag from Skip Hop, this cult-classic MZ Wallace, and this bag (my favorite med school) Lo & Sons (it seems to be the 20% now)!
You already have a bag that you love, but could use a little 'more organized? Try buying a purse insert that essentially adds extra pockets for your bag! This fit most tote bags style and is less than $ 40. This is available in bright colors (khaki or red to make it easier to see what's inside it with an internal all-black) and zips closed at the top, and it is $ 50 inserts as these can really make any bag a carry everything organized!
